5th graders at NMS recently researched famous African Americans who made contributions in various fields.  Also for black history month, Paula White from the Arkansas Museum of Natural  Resources was our guest speaker.  She informed students of the many famous black Arkansans who are a part of our history, including Hubert "Geese" Ausbie, an Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame inductee who performed with the Harlem Globetrotters.
