Sports Medicine Students Obtain Certification

Twenty students in Mrs. Morgan Atkins' Sports Medicine Program obtained their CPR Certification this semester with support from the School Based Health Clinic and Nurse Candis Langley.

Students in the Sports Medicine Program are required to take the following classes in order to become career and technical education completers:  Anatomy, Foundations of Sports Medicine, and Injury Assessment.  This program is designed to help students who are interested in pursuing careers related to athletic training, physical therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy assistants, occupational therapy assistants, and coaching.  This program would also provide foundational skills for students interested in pursuing a career in any medical field.
