To encourage more families to take advantage of the healthy choices available for school breakfast, the Smackover-Norphlet School District will celebrate National School Breakfast Week during March 5-9, 2018.

Studies show that students who eat school breakfast are more likely to:

  • Reach higher levels of achievement in math
  • Score higher on standardized tests
  • Have better concentration, memory, and alertness
  • Have improved attendance, behavior, and academic performance
  • Maintain a healthy weight

The theme for this week is, "I Heart School Breakfast."  Make sure you check out the special breakfast menus this week:

  • Monday - Strawberry Pancakes
  • Tuesday - Cheese Omelets
  • Wednesday - Breakfast Sausage Pizza
  • Friday - French Toast Sticks

All meals are served with fruit juice or milk.  Students also have the option of choosing a whole grain cereal with toast or crackers if they prefer that to the listed menu items.
