Smackover High School's 2nd and 3rd year engineering students enrolled in Principles of Engineering and Computer Integrated Manufacturing were given the challenge of evaluating a flooding problem which occurs on the high school campus when a significant rainfall occurs.

Over the course of the first semester, the students under the guidance of teacher Tami Philyaw, have worked with engineers, surveyors, electricians, and other industry and community professionals to create a well-crafted solution to the problem.

The students presented their solution to the problem at the November School Board Meeting.
