Dawn Lewis is currently teaching computer lab at Smackover Elementary School. After working in the education world full time for the past 22 years, Mrs. Lewis will be retiring June 30, 2020.
She has worn many hats while working in a variety of districts. She worked as a substitute teacher, volunteered, and worked part time in the Mt. Holly, Stephens, and Smackover School Districts for seven years. She was then hired full time as a teacher’s aide, computer lab teacher, erate coordinator, school bus driver, and technology coordinator at Mt. Holly Elementary School. After Mt. Holly and Smackover consolidated, Mrs. Lewis was hired at the Smackover School District as the assistant technology coordinator and webmaster, and then became the Technology Coordinator. During this time, she also went to college and earned an associate degree from SAU Tech in Camden. Currently, Mrs. Lewis is the eSchool administrator, Erate Coordinator, eSchool and TAC Tech Support Technician, Computer Lab Teacher, and the student side data cycle coordinator for the district.
Mrs. Lewis loved being able to share her love of and respect for technology with students. Mrs. Lewis has been an asset to the Smackover Norphlet District where she impacted many lives that she touched as a teacher or colleague. She will be missed with her sweet spirit and assistance in technology. We wish you and your much happiness as you begin your next chapter of life. May God bless you in all that you do.
