• QUIZ WIZ: The NMS Quiz Bowl Team recently participated in the Invitational Quiz Bowl Tournament in El Dorado, and finished as the tournament runnerup!
• LET THE GAMES BEGIN: NMS students attended and participated in the Arkansas Special Olympics Area 15 Spring Games.
• READY TO SHINE: Norphlet Middle School students in Mrs. Garrett’s and Mrs. Howard’s classes created eclipse viewers in preparation for the solar eclipse earlier this week.
• “STAY GOLD, PONYBOY”: Mrs. Stanton’s seventh-grade students at Norphlet Middle School recently read The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton and culminated the novel with creative project choices
• DO OVER: These seventh grade girls at Norphlet Middle School wanted a “redo”, from when they created peep nests in fifth grade.
• PEEP PROTECTION: Norphlet Middle School fifth graders, in their library rotation, were instructed to build a nest to keep their “peep” safe and off the ground.
• NMS HONOR ROLL: Congratulations to our Norphlet Middle School students on the 3rd Nine Weeks Honor Roll!
• NMS ACCELERATED READER ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Congratulations to the following Norphlet Middle School students who met their Accelerated Reader goals for the 3rd Nine Weeks!

A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL
 

Welcome to Norphlet Middle School!

As the Principal of Norphlet Middle School, it is my pleasure to welcome new and returning students to a new year at NMS. The Mission of Norphlet Middle School is to ensure all students are learning to their full potential. The staff has been making many preparations this summer to create a safe learning environment so that our students are able to achieve that goal. Just like every year, there will be many new faces around NMS this year including students and staff. I am excited to be able to lead Norphlet Middle School into the 2023-2024 school year where we will strive for excellence.  

It was an honor to serve as Principal of Norphlet Middle School last year and I expect this year to be even better. I was able to witness the amazing parent support at sporting events, choir and band performances, and even the school dance. It is great to be a part of a community where students, teachers, and parents care for each other and strive to build meaningful relationships. We know that the students will move on to greater adventures after they leave middle school but traditions never graduate.
