• NMS HONOR ROLL: Congratulations to all of our students who earned their place on the Norphlet Middle School 4th Nine Weeks Honor Rolls!
• AR READING GOALS: Shoutout to all of our students who met their AR Reading Goals or the fourth and final nine weeks!
• 7TH-8TH GRADE AWARDS: NMS honored our 7th-8th Grade students for their hard work and achievements this school year during our annual awards assembly.
• 5TH-6TH GRADE AWARDS: NMS 5th-6th Grade students were honored recently during our end-of-year awards assembly.
• CONGRATULATIONS MRS. MORGAN!: Wishing Mrs. Morgan, our librarian, a happy retirement!
• BATTLE LINES: NMS students, along with some 4th Graders from Smackover Elementary, recently participated in “Battle of the Books!”
• EXCALIBUR REWARD: NMS students who achieved 100 Accelerated Reader points or more were rewarded with a trip to Excalibur in Monroe.
• FOUR SQUARE: NMS students recently participated in the Rubik’s Cube competition held in Camden.
• HOT OFF THE PRESS: Mr. Yates’ 8th Grade Social Studies class at Norphlet Middle School created a newspaper on “American Imperialism.”

A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL
 

I would like to take this time to thank all of our parents for the support and partnership during this 2023-2024 school year! We ran a different schedule than normal with early out Wednesdays and our parents made it run flawlessly. Thank you for supporting our students during activities, competitions, sporting events, and assemblies. It speaks volumes for the amount of pride that we have in our district.  

To our PTO… I am so proud! Words cannot express my appreciation for all the things that you do for the teachers. The little things mean more than you will ever know. I look forward to our continued work together as we challenge ourselves and our students to achieve our ambitious goals. 

To the students of Norphlet Middle School… Thank you for all your hard work throughout the school year. I am so honored to be your principal. I would like to wish you all the very best summer vacation possible, and I look forward to welcoming you all back, refreshed, for what will be an exciting, new academic year. To our 8th grade students, I am excited to see what all you will achieve as you move onto the high school next school year.

As we wrap up this year, the planning for next year has already begun. Have a great summer and I look forward to how we can make our school better every year!
